AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke 10W-40 Synthetic Scooter Oil is specifically designed to meet the specific needs of modern high-tech air-cooled and water-cooled scooters with four-stroke engines, offering excellent wear protection and friction reduction for longer equipment life and high-temperature cooling function. Its excellent shear stability provides solid viscosity protection and additional protection for gearboxes and gears, while its friction modifier-free configuration ensures compatibility with the wet clutch and smooth operation. A special package of additional corrosion inhibitors provides long-term protection during periods of inactivity and storage.
Shear stability
The high engine speeds common in scooter applications increase shear, causing conventional oils to lose viscosity and reduce their ability to control wear, resulting in shorter engine life. The synthetic formulation of Formula 4-Stroke 10W-40 Synthetic Scooter Oil effectively resists shear, providing consistent viscosity protection for excellent wear protection and extended equipment life.
Thermal stability
Scooter engine operating temperatures vary considerably, especially with air-cooled engines. Formula 4-Stroke 10W-40 Synthetic Scooter Oil resists degradation at high temperatures, maintaining its protective viscosity for maximum wear control.
Gearbox and gearbox compatibility
In many scooter applications, the engine and gearbox have the same oil tank. Formula 4-Stroke 10W-40 Synthetic Scooter Oil is shear stable and resists dilution from mechanical activity, providing superior protection for gearboxes and gears.
Compatibility with fluid clutch
Some scooters use a friction clutch to engage the engine with the drive system. In many cases, this clutch is immersed in the same oil used in the engine and gearbox. Formula 4-Stroke 10W-40 Synthetic Scooter Oil is compatible with the clutch fluid. It contains no friction modifiers, offering smooth operation and increased service life.

Use wherever SAE 10W-40 Drive Oil is specified on air-cooled and water-cooled scooter engines, gearboxes and differentials recommended for any of the following specifications, including Honda*, Kawasaki*, Suzuki, Yamaha*, Vespa*, Aprilia*, Piaggio*, Benelli*, Vento*, Kymco*, Tank* and TGB*.

Compatibility
AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Scooter Oil is compatible with other synthetic and conventional engine oils. Mixing AMSOIL engine oil with other lubricants, however, will reduce the oil’s life expectancy and performance benefits. AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Scooter Oil does not support extended drain intervals where the oils are mixed.
Competition oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL engine oils.
